The Best Laid Plans

I am well into my quest to be on the road again by my birthday. I don’t have much to show for it due to my own laziness and mental resets.

What I have come to understand about myself is my addictive personality (sugar) and lack of discipline. It’s not about willpower but a lack of a system (rituals) to follow.

I have allowed home issues to take over my life. No more.

Instead of worrying about the time I have allowed to be out of my control, I will move to a virtual “night shift”. From 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., I have no obligations to anyone. I have been fighting to gain control of normal hours when I can have complete control of this other time for work, exercise, or play.

Time to get rid of excuses and interruptions and claim my 12 hours. I can work, nap, or go to the gym. Time during the day when the health care worker is here taking care of my mother is ideal for sleep. I have worked night shifts before. This is just a my time schedule.
